Abbey Multi Academy Trust is conducting an important consultation concerning proposed changes to the admissions arrangements at Lightcliffe Academy. We would like to invite your feedback on this proposal, which we believe will better meet the needs of the local community while ensuring high-quality education and sustainability.
Lightcliffe Academy is proposing to reduce its Published Admission Number (PAN) for Year 7 intake from 250 to 180 students from September 2026 onwards. This adjustment is being made in response to a decline in local pupil numbers and a significant surplus of places in recent years. The reduction aims to better align the school’s capacity with local demand and improve the allocation of resources, while ensuring the continuation of a high standard of education.

This consultation will run for seven weeks from Monday 2 December 2024 to midday on Monday 20 January 2025. During this time, feedback is invited from all stakeholders.
