Students who have not achieved at least a grade C in English, Maths and Science struggle to make progress in this academic, scientific, rigorous subject. What does the course involve? Psychology is a very interesting subject. Psychology is the science of the mind and behaviour. It involves trying to understand human behaviour. During the topics you will learn information about human behaviour and gain possible explanations for areas such as aggression, attachment and abnormality. Although it is very interesting it is a very difficult topic. Paper 1 – 2 hours – 96 marks This a written exam where students answer questions on topics including Memory, Attachment, Social Influence, Psychopathology. Paper 2 – 2 hours – 96 marks This is also a written exam based on the study of Biopsychology, Approaches in Psychology and Research Methods. Paper 3- 2 hours – 96 marks This is a written exam on the study of Relationships, Eating Behaviour and Forensic Psychology. What next? Psychology is a useful subject for lots of different career paths. It is especially for a wide variety of subjects such as clinical psychologists, criminal profilers police officers, doctors, nurses and teachers just to mention a few. Examination Board: AQA
